HOW TO MEASURE
Your gate is fabricated to the measurements you give us. Take your time here — a few minutes now saves an expensive mistake later.
1
Measure the opening, not the gate
Measure the clear gap between the two points the gate will sit between — post to post, wall to wall, or post to wall.
2
Measure in three places
Top, middle and bottom. Openings are rarely perfectly square. Use the smallest of the three.
3
Allow for hardware
Hinges and latches need clearance. As a rule allow 15–20mm total across the opening. If your gap is 3000mm, order a 2980mm gate. If you're unsure, tell us the opening size in the notes and we'll allow for it.
4
Check for ground clearance
Allow 40–50mm under the gate so it swings clear of paving, gravel or grass. Measure height from where the bottom of the gate will sit, not from ground level.
5
Check the ground is level
If the ground slopes across the opening, the gate needs extra clearance on the low side, or the design may need adjusting. Tell us in the notes.
6
Posts are not included unless selected
Existing posts must be plumb, solid and able to carry the weight. A gate is only as good as what it hangs off.

Not sure? Ask before you order. Call
0412 604 486 or send an enquiry with a photo of your opening. We'd much rather spend five minutes on the phone than remake a gate.
Sizes on this site step in 50mm increments. If your exact size falls between steps, choose the next size up and note the real measurement in the special measurement box — you'll be charged at the size you select.
SUPPLY-ONLY RESPONSIBILITIES
This applies when you order supply only, without installation. Please read before ordering.
Measurements are your responsibility
Products are custom-manufactured to the dimensions you supply at checkout. We build exactly to those measurements. If a measurement is incorrect, the item is not faulty and a remake will be charged at full price.
Site conditions
You are responsible for confirming that posts, walls or structures are plumb, structurally sound and suitable for the weight of the product. We cannot assess site conditions we have not seen.
Installation
Supply-only orders are not installed by us. Installation, fixings beyond those supplied, concreting, and compliance with any local requirements are the responsibility of the purchaser or their contractor.
Pool fencing and safety barriers
Pool barriers are regulated in Victoria. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure any pool barrier is installed to comply with the relevant Australian Standard and local council requirements. Supply of a product does not constitute certification of compliance.
Custom-made goods and change of mind
All items are made to order. Under Australian Consumer Law, refunds are not required for change of mind on custom-made goods. Once fabrication has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Your consumer rights are not affected
Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality. Contact us and we'll make it right.
Finish and materials
Powder coat colours are matched as closely as possible to the selected colour. Slight variation between batches, and between screen and finished product, is normal and not a defect. Raw or unpainted items will weather and surface rust — this is expected and not a fault.
Delivery and inspection
Please inspect goods on delivery or collection. Any transport damage or discrepancy must be reported within 48 hours with photographs.
